Mather Risk Management Services (MRMS), a Birmingham, Alabama based operation, is a Service Disabled Veteran – Owned Small Business established to provide quality and effective Risk Management and Environmental, Health and Safety services through developing an understanding of what is important to our clients. We accomplish this by building partnerships with their internal and external subject matter experts and their employees. We strive to understand our partner’s goals, operations and processes in order to assist our partners in building an effective risk and EH&S management process.

Our mission is to provide the expertise and resources required to assist our clients in developing risk management principles and systems that (a) fit the clients’ business model and (b) protect its employees and property from Environmental, Health, and Safety practices and factors that weaken the ability of the business to conduct its affairs in a fiscally responsible and compliant manner.

About the Founder

The founder of the firm, William “Jay” Mather, is a veteran of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Infantry Division and a graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupation Safety and Health and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Technology. Mr. Mather has expertise in the aviation, manufacturing, and construction industries in areas of safety, environmental, workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile and product liability litigation, and investigations. He is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer, Certified Fire and Explosive Investigator, and Certified Fire Inspector II with twenty six years of progressive and responsible experience.
